If you get bored of Black Lake, you could also stop at nearby Powell Lake, and get dripping       wet paddling on Tanyard Branch. Why not have a look at Powell Lake Dam since you're here, and Days Inn Dallas is a great site to get some rest. At Black Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's.
