Bird Pond gets a lot of water; most of the rain falls through July; the driest month is November. A brilliant nearby hotel is SpringHill Suites Statesboro University Area, and if you came for an overnight stay Daisy Farms RV Park is a brilliant place to camp. If only every site had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great world it would be. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Parkwood       RV Park; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Southern Links Golf Club. A lake close by is Lake Wells, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. You'll meet a lot of people from Statesboro here, obviously you could also take a look at Lake Ruby if you're here; it's not far at all. Through the summer months at Bird Pond temperatures are regularly in the 90's with overnight lows                  in the 60's.
