Bird Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. There's whitewater on Rose Creek for all you adrenaline people, obviously you could also pop by Walker Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. You'll meet a lot of folks from Athens-Clarke County here. Microtel Inn Greensboro is a fine site to get some rest; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Apalachee River.

| | and Port Armor Country Club is a delightful golf course nearby. Bird Lake is a wet site that gets a good deal of rainfall; March is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is October. Summertime at Bird Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Bird Lake are in the 30's.

Bird Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. Bird Lake Dam is a wonderful place in close proximity to Bird Lake, and dry warm beds await you at The Lodge On Lake Oconee. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at
Bird Lake you can take a hike along the Scull Shoals Trail, and a lake nearby is Massey Lake. On a fine day at Bird Lake you can take a hike along the Town Creek Bike Trail, and you can stay the night at North Shore Resort.
This
lake is so wonderful. There is a good hiking trail next to Bird Lake called the Mounds Trail. There's so much to do here at Bird Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Oconee Center is a good location for that.
