Take a little spree to Morrison Creek since you're here at Big Pond, and Big Pond is a site with many visitors from Valdosta. This lake is so wonderful. Shady Oaks Campground is a fine local campground, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 Adel is a perfect choice. Through the summer at Big Pond       temperatures are regularly in the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 60's while the cold winter nights at Big Pond are in the 30's. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Big Pond has it all. A lake close by is Hancock Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn - Hahira/Valdosta Area.
