It's always fun to stop by Big Lake. Stay the night at Ridley's Chenille and Trailer; do visit Dan Dunkins Lake, it's a beautiful lake. Big Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; the driest month is October. Traders Hill Recreation Area is a great campground here, and dry warm beds await you at Western Motel.

| | the vicinity of Big Lake called the Okefenokee Wilderness Canoe Trail, and Days Inn is a fine location to get some rest. If only every location had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great earth it would be. Near Big Lake you stumble on the Indian Trail which is a good hiking trail, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Mizell Prairie is right close by.

cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 60's with temperatures at Big Lake dipping down into the 40's during winter nights.
