Throughout the summertime months highs here at Bells Lake get into the 80's with night lows in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's while Bells Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. There are great spots to look at along the Mounds Trail, and get dripping wet paddling on Rose Creek. Here at Bells Lake there are plenty of folks from Athens-Clarke County; if       you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Express Inn is a delightful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Bells Lake without first going for a hike along the Scull Shoals Trail, and if you're a golfer then a good close by course is Lane Creek Golf Club. And that's not all you can do here at Bells Lake. Some nearby water includes Lampkin Branch, and a good nearby hotel is Americas Best Inns-Athens. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to                  do here at Bells Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pine Lake RV Campground is a splendid spot for that, and Bells Lake Dam is a location that is close to Bells Lake. You could also go to Christian Lake if you're here at Bells Lake; it's close by, and drift down the rapids of Apalachee River in a kayak. A great deal of rainfall falls at Bells Lake; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is September.
