For the duration of the summer months here at Bells Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Bells Lake are in the 30's. There's some flowing water close by, Lampkin Branch is a stream you can stop by during your stay; if you came for an overnight stay Oconee River Campground and Picnic       Area is a wonderful place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Express Inn, and why not explore Bells Lake Dam since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Bells Lake, you could also pop by close by Christian Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Apalachee River. Go for a hike on the Mounds Trail, and drift down the rapids of Rose Creek in a kayak. Bells Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount                  of rain; the month with most of the rain is March, and September on the other hand is the driest. There are plenty of people from Athens-Clarke County here at Bells Lake; Bells Lake is not the only site nearby, Barnett Lake is a nearby lake. There's tremendous hiking along the Falling Camp Trail; if you need a place to stay Americas Best Inns-Athens is a good choice. Playing golf is lots of fun at Lane Creek Golf Club. Be careful coming to Bells Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again.
