Do stop by Bear Lake while you're in this part of Georgia. For the period of the summer months at Bear Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. Ellison Creek flows through this neighborhood; you don’t have to go far from Bear Lake to make out the water at Toombs Lake Dam. After a long day outdoors Jameson Inn Greensboro is a fine location to spend a night or two, and hiking
is a popular thing to do around Bear Lake; Falling Camp Trail is a perfect local trail. If you get bored of Bear Lake, you could also stop at close by Toombs Lake, and don't leave Bear Lake without first going for a hike along the Scull Shoals Trail.
