    What a nice lake Bear Lake is. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Oconee River Campground and Picnic Area is a good place to camp nearby, and after a long day outdoors Microtel Inn Greensboro is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Bear Lake while overnight lows are mostly in the 60's. All through the winter the highs are mostly in the 50's, and after the sun is down through  
   the winter temperatures at Bear Lake dip into the 30's.
Dry warm beds await you at Jameson Inn Greensboro, and Watson Spring is a glorious local attraction. All the water falling down from the sky makes Bear Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain is March, and September on the other hand is the driest. There's some flowing water nearby, Ellison Creek is a stream you can stop by while you're here, and there's whitewater on Rose Creek for all
 
               you adrenaline kick people.
Do stop by Toombs Lake Dam while you're here at Bear Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Falling Camp Trail. Good hiking is available along the Scull Shoals Trail, naturally you could also have a look at Elders Lakes since you're here; it's not far at all. So many amusing things in close proximity to Bear Lake, clearly unbelievable. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bear Lake; Mounds Trail is a tremendous local trail, and Bear Lake is a place with many visitors from Athens-Clarke County.
This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at North Shore Resort, and you can run the rapids of Apalachee River.
