    If you are in Greene county it's always a good idea to stop by Bear Lake. For the period of the months of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Bear Lake. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 50's, and night lows in the 30's for Bear Lake. Bear Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and September is when it's the driest. There are some glorious  
   whitewater spots on Apalachee River, and do take a hike on the Scull Shoals Trail.
If you need a place to stay Microtel Inn Greensboro is a fine choice; a visit to Bear Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Watson Spring. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are really bountiful here at Bear Lake. You don’t have to go far from Bear Lake to spot the water at Toombs Lake Dam; hiking along the Mounds Trail is brilliant fun. Here at Bear Lake there
 
               are plenty of folks from Athens-Clarke County.
This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Ellison Creek near Bear Lake is a pleasant idea; lakes are such calm places, why not check out Toombs Lake. Oconee River Campground and Picnic Area is a nice campground nearby, and a pretty lake like Ashley Lake is a delightful place to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Lake is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, North Shore Resort is a splendid spot to camp nearby, and going for a hike along the Falling Camp Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
If you come at the right time of year, Rose Creek offers some great whitewater; Jameson Inn Greensboro is a tremendous place to get some rest.
