What a nice lake Bateman Lake is. Be careful coming to Bateman Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. Hiking along the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail is good fun, and you can stay the night at Tobesofkee Recreation Area. Ocmulgee National Monument is a great local destination here at Bateman Lake, and you'll probably meet some people from Macon here. Near Bateman Lake you discover a golf course called Jones County Lake Jonesco Golf Course.

If you need a spot to stay Macon Days Inn is a great choice, and going for a hike along the Twin Bridges Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Little River, and Bateman Lake is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Lake Juliette Dames Ferry Park is a pleasant place
to camp nearby. Not far from Bateman Lake you acquire some good water scenery at Bateman Lake Dam, and after a long day outdoors Gray Days Inn is a perfect place to spend a night or two.
