    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Bassinger Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Serendipity Park Nudist Resort is a delightful location to camp, and of course, this is a pleasant area for folks who like lakes, Thomas Pond is a lake close by. Why not camp at Mountain Creek Grove Nudist while you're here at Bassinger Pond, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Cornelia. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bassinger  
   Pond; Raven Cliff Falls Trail is a pleasant local trail, and after a long day outdoors Cornelia-Days Inn is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two.
Take a hike on the Whitly Gap Trail. Any time is a splendid time at Bassinger Pond if you have a thing about the outdoors. The top of Harvest Mountain is easily spotted from Bassinger Pond, and a delightful place for whitewater paddling is Mud Creek. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from
 
               Cornelia here, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Ellers Lake.
Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Bassinger Pond. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Bassinger Pond temperatures fall to the 20's. Very good water scenery is available at Yoemans Dam right next door to Bassinger Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Bassinger Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; March is the month that gets the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Amos Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to; in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chattahoochee River.
