An exciting thing to stop at near Basket Creek Lake is Basket Creek Dam; there's whitewater on Hurricane Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. Throughout the months of summer at Basket Creek Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. Highs through the winter are regularly in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Basket       Creek Lake are in the 20's. If you came to camp Papillon Resort and RV Campground is a tremendous spot to do that; if you need a place to stay Sleep Inn Douglasville is a tremendous choice. So many enjoyable things to do at Basket Creek Lake, so little time. Holiday Inn Express Atl West (I-20) d'Ville Area is a good location to get some rest; St Andrews Golf & Country Club is a golf course close by. Basket Creek Lake is a pretty wet place generally with a lot                  of rainfall; March is when you get the most rain here while October is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Basket Creek Lake that you need to camp here for a while, South Oaks Manufactured Home is a great place for that, and Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is a very tremendous spot to have a look at.
