Many people like to go to Bartholomew Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Diamond Lure Campground. The high level of precipitation makes Bartholomew Lake a quite wet site; the month with most of the rain is March, and October is when it's the driest. Throughout the warm months at Bartholomew Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Long Swamp Creek, and golf can be played at Woodmont Golf Club. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Amicalola Creek, and getting to Buzzard Flapper Creek from Bartholomew Lake is easy.
