There's so much to do here at Barney Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Atlanta West Campgrounds is a brilliant location for that, and lakes are such calm places, why not have a look at Cohen Lake. All through the months of summer at Barney Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the       40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Barney Lake temperatures dip to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Barney Lake you can play some golf at Greystone Golf Course; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Atlanta West/Douglasville. Whitewater paddling is good on Annewakee River, and Atlanta-Days Inn Douglasville/Fairburn Road is a splendid place to get some rest. Barney Lake typically gets lots of rainfall; March is when                  you get the most rain here, and the driest month is October. Barney Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Arrowhead Campground is a fine local campground, and Monroe Lake Dam is not far at all from Barney Lake. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Get drenched paddling on Sweetwater Creek, and do go to Crooked Creek if you're here at Barney Lake.
