A wonderful lake like Toccoa Reservoir in the vicinity of Barnes Lake is a nice place to take a look at; Rock Quarry Mountain is stunning and can be spotted from here. Barnes Lake is a wet location that gets a great deal of rain; most of the rain falls throughout March, and October is the month with the least moisture. This       lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Barnes Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Toccoa Rv Park & Campground is a splendid site for that, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Brasstown Creek. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. You don’t have to go far from Barnes Lake to see the water at Toccoa Water Reservoir Dam; in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater                  paddling on Big Panther Creek. Barnes Lake is not far at all from Toccoa, and Toccoa City Golf Course is a good golf course close by. After a long day outdoors Country Hearth Inn Toccoa is a pleasant site to spend a night or two, and lakes are such serene places, why not visit Toccoa Water Reservoir. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do right next door to Barnes Lake. If you need a place to stay Days Inn Toccoa is a good choice, and there are splendid spots to discover along the Chattooga Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Barnes Lake without first going for a hike along the Bartram Trail, and Barnes Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Panther Creek Campground is a great local campground. Throughout the summertime at Barnes Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's.
