Georgia has many beautiful lakes and Ballard Pond is one of them. A great location to camp here at Ballard Pond is Atlanta South Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Chattahoochee River, and camping at Camp Truitt-fulton is always a brilliant experience. You don’t have to go far from Ballard Pond to see the water at Suwanee Lake Dam, and Rodeway Inn Forest Park is a delightful location to get some rest.

The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Ballard Pond dip into the 20's. The high level of rain makes Ballard Pond a pretty wet spot; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and September is when it's the driest. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Forest Park is a tremendous location to spend a night or two, and Forest Lake is a nearby lake that
you could take a look at. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Ballard Pond is excellent! At Ballard Pond you always meet someone from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because College Park Municipal Golf Course is around here.
