It's always fun to stop by Ball Lake. Camping is available at Lumpkin Campground, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Brookshire Creek Trail. Dean Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out, and if you need a location to stay Doubletree Hotel Atlanta/Alpharetta-Windward is a pleasant choice. Dry warm beds await you at Springhill Suites Atlanta/Alpharetta, and get dripping wet paddling on Amicalola Creek.

Three Dam to visit close to Ball Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Ball Lake a wet place; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; October meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Ball Lake you'll perhaps meet some people from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta.
