Jones Lake is a lake close at hand, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Ashburn Inn. During the summer highs here at Baker Lake reach the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 70's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 50's with temperatures at Baker Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Baker Lake       there are plenty of folks from Tifton, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 Ashburn is a good choice. A round of golf at nearby Sunsweet Hills Golf Club is a wonderful way to kill some time; Baker Lake Dam is not far at all from Baker Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Winfreds Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay The Pines Campground is a great place to camp. The high level of rainfall makes Baker                  Lake a reasonably wet spot; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is October.
