Beautiful Bailey Lake has much to offer visitors. The high level of precipitation makes Bailey Lake a quite wet spot; the month with most of the rain is March while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Lakes? If time allows, Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is a national park worth going to, and delightful water scenery is available at Bailey Lake Dam near Bailey Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Bailey Lake has to offer, you can camp at Mount Bethel Campground; for you golfers we recommend close by Windy Hill Golf Course. | |

This lake is so wonderful. So much fun stuff near Bailey Lake, simply astonishing. Not far from Bailey Lake, you'll come across Paradise Lake which is a pretty lake, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites COVINGTON is a good
location to get some rest. Get soaked paddling on South River; after a long day outdoors Cornerstone Lodge Of Covington is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. At Bailey Lake during the summertime highs are in the 80's, and during
summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Bailey Lake.

 | Putting in at Killian Hill Rd , the best white water is just down river from HWY 78 to the Yellow River Park. Beyond the park is unknown territory....Yellow river at Poterdale can get pretty tough after a good rain. Bring your A game!...water from 124 to porterdale is about 3 feet average in the summertime. lots of fun. easy river. clean too. lots of fallen trees in the water, great wildlife, snakes, turtles and fish. the dam in porterdale is easily passed adn the rapids following are verry shallow. email at coadydraven@yahoo.com with questions.... |
