A trip to Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is recommended; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Yellow River. High temperatures at Bailey Lake through the long summer days are in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's; after                  the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Bailey Lake plunge into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
