Mag Creek is right next door to Ayers Pond and is always a diversion to explore, and if you're visiting from Eastanollee, you won't be the only one. High temperatures at Ayers Pond through the summer are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Ayers Pond are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling

| | is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Chauga River, and if you need a place to stay Knights Inn & Suites Toccoa is a wonderful choice. A lake close by is Mag Creek Pond, and camping is available at Sunset Campground. Man, is there plenty of cool stuff to do right next door to Ayers Pond. wet place mostly with a large amount of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is October. Ayers Pond is right by the Chattooga Trail, and if you're interested in hydro
structures, you can pop by North Fork Broad River Structure Five Dam. A great close by hotel is Days Inn Toccoa, and if you get bored of Ayers Pond you could also go to close by Reservoir 11. This lake is so wonderful. There are
some perfect whitewater spots on Rice Creek, and a nice site to camp here at Ayers Pond is Toccoa Rv Park & Campground.

 | ...nal life of lake was projected to exceed 100 years. Silt accumulation after 20 years was approximately .5 inche. Normal elevation is apporximately 800'. Feeder streams maintain lake levels even during extended periods of insufficient rainfall and at the same time provide spill into the exiting stream bed. The lake has been pulled down during periods of heavy construction of highways across the feeder streams to allow silt to return to the streams and pass thru thedrain gates. Buena Vista Dr crosses the lake in two places; one being the main dam and again on the Coe Branch inlet. Original construction of dams accommodated these crossings. Over the years sport fishing has been excellent with large mouth Bass, Crappie, Brem, Pike And Catfish, however fishing is limited due to private ownership of property including the lake basin. The shorelines and surounding hills are populated with native hardwoods and pine, creating scenery which is unsurpassed in the area. I have several dozen that are dated Easter Sunday, 1945 (April 1st).? I have being attempting determine the location where these pics were taken.? The only thing grandmother can remember is a name:? Panther Creek Park.? She thought it was somewhere around Corniela.? I found this web page while doing a search for it.? I have included some pics.? The most obvious feature in a lot of this photos is a round brick object that people seemed to spend a lot of time lounging around.? I don't know what to actually call it.?
