Victoria Bryant State Park is both perfect and pretty, and it's right next door to Ayers Pond, and Walters Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. During the warmest time of the year highs here at Ayers Pond reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while Ayers Pond night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at

There's so much to do here at Ayers Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Toccoa Rv Park & Campground is a great location for that. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Glide down the rapids of Nancy Town River in a kayak, and if you come at the right time of year, Big Panther Creek offers some great whitewater. March is the one with the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn & Suites Toccoa, and Ayers Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Russell Campground is a glorious
local campground. Days Inn Toccoa is a glorious place to get some rest, and there are plenty of folks from Carnesville here at Ayers Pond.

 | ...lmer Simpson Stonecypher and was constructed in the mid 1950's. The shorelines are constant except in times of heavy rainfall and original life of lake was projected to exceed 100 years. Silt accumulation after 20 years was approximately .5 inche. Normal elevation is apporximately 800'. Feeder streams maintain lake levels even during extended periods of insufficient rainfall and at the same time provide spill into the exiting stream bed. The lake has been pulled down during periods of heavy construction of highways across the feeder streams to allow silt to return to the streams and pass thru thedrain gates. Buena Vista Dr crosses the lake in two places; one being the main dam and again on the Coe Branch inlet. Original construction of dams accommodated these crossings. Over the years sport fishing has been excellent with large mouth Bass, Crappie, Brem, Pike And Catfish, however fishing is limited due to private ownership of property including the lake basin.  | 15 miles away 1 PHOTO Hi!? I am looking for information.? Recently, I have been going thru old black and white photos that belong to my grandmother.? I have several dozen that are dated Easter Sunday, 1945 (April 1st).? I have being attempting determine the location where these pics were taken.? The only thing grandmother can remember is a name:? Panther Creek Park.? She thought it was somewhere around Corniela.? I found this web page while doing a search for it.? I have included some pics.? The most obvious feature in a lot of this photos is a round brick object that people seemed to spend a lot of time lounging around.? I don't know what to actually call it.? Is this the right park??... |
