Camping is available at Hard Labor Creek State Park, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hard Labor Creek. Throughout the long summer days at Aycock Lake highs are usually in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are usually       in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Aycock Lake. Lakes? Sure, Sewage Treatment Pond Number One is in the vicinity, and after a long day outdoors Jameson Inn Winder is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Aycock Lake. There are other locations here than Aycock Lake, for example Bucaneer Lake; for you golfers we recommend close by Providence Club Golf Course. This lake                  is so wonderful. A nice place to camp here at Aycock Lake is Simmeron Park, and Apalachee River is a glorious whitewater spot close by.
