For the period of the summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Ashurst Pond. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's while the cold winter nights at Ashurst Pond are in the 30's. People from Milledgeville love       to come to Ashurst Pond. Not far from Ashurst Pond, you'll stumble on Walker Lake which is a beautiful lake, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Uncle Remus Golf Course. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Lakes are wonderful; Rooty Creek Structure Number 21 Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Ashurst Pond; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Twin Bridges Trail. This lake is so wonderful.                  A tremendous nearby hotel is Cuscowilla Golf Resort on Lake Oconee, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little River.
