If you're a golfer then a great close by course is Sugar Hill Golf Club, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Atlanta-Johns Creek, Ga is a great choice. And that's not all you can do here at Ashmore Lake. Ashmore Lake is a great spot to camp, Twin Lakes Park is a great spot, and whitewater paddling is perfect on Settingdown Creek. If time allows, Chattahoochee       River National Recreation Area is a national park worth checking out, and don't forget to take a good little visit to Daves Creek. Stay the night at Lake Lanier Island Campground; going for a hike along the Brookshire Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Ashmore Lake gets a great deal of water; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.                  Paddling on Yellow River is so much fun, and there's some attention-grabbing stuff to catch a sight of at Ashmore Lake Dam right next door to Ashmore Lake. Upper Ashmore Lake is a pleasant lake near Ashmore Lake; during your tour here you'll meet some people from Gainesville for sure. Fish Weir Shoals is in the neighborhood of Ashmore Lake and is a delightful place, and a good close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ATLANTA-CUMMING. High temperatures at Ashmore Lake during the warm months are in the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad chillier of course, usually in the 60's.
