There is a pleasant hiking trail in the vicinity of Anderson Lake called the Brookshire Creek Trail; a gorgeous lake like Dubose Lake is a pleasant site to check out. Anderson Lake is a wet site that gets lots of rain; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is October. Microtel Inn and Suites Jasper is a tremendous place to get some rest; get yourself into a kayak and hit       Long Swamp Creek. And that's not all you can do here at Anderson Lake. On a beautiful day you obtain a panorama of Hendrix Mountain from Anderson Lake, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Amicalola Creek. For the period of the warm months at Anderson Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the                  winter temperatures at Anderson Lake plunge into the 20's. It's a great idea to visit Cox Creek, it's near Anderson Lake; a splendid site to camp here at Anderson Lake is Plum Nelly Campground. This lake is so wonderful.
