This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. From Amicalola Lake you obtain a glorious view of Amicalola Mountain, and the beauty of mother       nature reveals herself at Amicalola Falls. Amicalola Lake Dam is not far at all from Amicalola Lake, and the Benton Mackaye Trail offers hiking at its best. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Amicalola Lake. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Amicalola Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might                  not ever wanna return home again. Amicalola Lake is a nice place to camp, Toccoa Valley Campgrounds is a nice place, and Amicalola Lake is right by the Black Mountain Trail. Camping at Amicalola Lake is good fun, Diamond Lure Campground is a good local campground, and hiking along the Duncan Ridge Trail is delightful fun. Amicalola Lake is a wet place that gets a lot of rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is October. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a nice time. Nearby lakes?
