Paddling on Broad River is so much fun, and Franklin Inn is a perfect spot to get some rest. Dry warm beds await you at Ramada Inn. There's so much to do here at Alston Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Poplar Springs Campgrounds is a wonderful place for that. Alston Dam is worth stopping at since you're here; you're sure to bump into some friendly people from Toccoa       here. Whitewater paddling is great on Rice Creek, and Alston Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Commerce Koa Kampground is a fine local campground. So many exciting things to do here at Alston Lake, too fine to be true. Some close by water includes Carlan Creek, and a pretty lake like Alston Lake is a nice site to visit. For the duration of the months of summer at Alston Lake highs are commonly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures                  are in the 60's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Alston Lake plunge into the 20's.
