This lake is so wonderful. Allen Lake Dam is not far at all from Allen Lake, and the Whitly Gap Trail is a splendid hiking trail nearby. Allen Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Paddling on Chattahoochee River is so much fun; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Cornelia is a tremendous choice. Buck Shoals is near Allen Lake and is a good place, and nearby       you find the Appalachian National Scenic Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Days Inn Cornelia, and why not take a little journey to Amys Creek while you're here. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things close to Allen Lake. Drift down the rapids of Mud Creek in a kayak, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Raven Cliff Falls Trail. And that's not all the things                  to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You're sure to stumble upon some smiling people from Cornelia here, and a delightful lake like Lower Taylor Lake is a fine location to have a look at. Camping is available at Serendipity Park Nudist Resort, and Frank Lake is a wonderful lake nearby. From Allen Lake you get a good panorama of Dean Mountain, and a fine spot to camp here at Allen Lake is Mountain Creek Grove Nudist. Allen Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March; October is when it's the driest. High temperatures at Allen Lake throughout the warm months are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's.
