The beauty of Allen Lake is reason enough to stop by. For the period of the long summer days, highs usually are in the 80's at Allen Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Allen Lake. So much cool stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not enough time. | | do here at Allen Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain Creek Grove Nudist is a great spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Allen Lake you'll most likely meet some folks from Cornelia, and you might also want to pay a visit to Buck Shoals while you're here at Allen Lake.

month. A tremendous nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Cornelia, and if you come at the right time of year, Chattahoochee River offers some good whitewater. This site, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. You can
take a little tour to Allen Lake Dam since you're here at Allen Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Mud Creek.
This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. Why not
take a refreshing hike along the Raven Cliff Falls Trail, and a lake close by is Frank Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You get a magnificent vista of Dean Mountain from Allen Lake, and Allen Lake is right by the Whitly Gap Trail.
Allen Lake in fact is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Allen Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Union Grove Campground is a wonderful local campground, and if you need a place to stay Nacoochee Valley Motel is a fine choice. Take a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.
