Allen Lake ordinarily gets a lot of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; October meanwhile is the driest month. Allen Lake is right by the Tearbritches Trail, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Whitepath Golf Club       &. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Benton McKaye Trail is great fun; there's some exciting stuff to catch a sight of at Ellijay Watershed Dam Number Nine in the neighborhood of Allen Lake. During the months of summer highs here at Allen Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Allen Lake are in the 20's.
