in the 40's with temperatures at Alexander Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.

here at Alexander Lake; a round of golf at nearby Union County Government Butternut Creek Golf Course is a delightful way to kill some time.
Alexander Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some of the water close by flows, like Long Branch, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Coosa Backcountry Trail.
