There's so much to do here at Akin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, High Falls Campground is a wonderful spot for that, and dry warm beds await you at Lamar Inn and Suites. If you need a site to stay Iris Inn is a tremendous choice. During the summer highs here at Akin Lake get into the 80's, and the night is a tad cooler of course, commonly in the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are typically in the 50's; night lows in the 30's for Akin Lake. This

| | lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Thomaston here, and you can stay the night at Heart of Georgia RV Park.
Paddling on Towaliga River is so much fun, unsurprisingly you could also stop at Potato Creek Structure Number 103 Lak if you're here; it's not far at all.
