Akin Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. If you come at the right time of year, Towaliga River offers some great whitewater, and the good people of Thomaston like to hang out nearby. Camping at Akin Lake is nice fun, Heart of Georgia RV Park is a nice local campground; since you're here, you could also explore charming McCord Lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Akin Lake you can play some golf at Morgan's Dairy
