In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ogeechee River; some of the water nearby flows, like Mill Creek. There are plenty of people from Milledgeville here at Aiken Pond, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Sandersville is a fine       place to spend a night or two. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Aiken Pond while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 60's. During the winter highs are usually in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Aiken Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Dixon Pond is a great lake in the neighborhood of Aiken Pond, and if you need a site to stay Villa South is a good choice. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Aiken Pond. Why not camp at Hamburg                  State Park if you're here at Aiken Pond, and a beautiful lake like McWhorter Pond is a good spot to stop by.
