     Georgia has many beautiful lakes and Adams Pond is one of them. Mountain Creek Grove Nudist is a delightful campground here; of course Yellowbank Creek flows through this region. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Cornelia is a tremendous choice, and float down the rapids of Mud Creek in a kayak. A pleasant close by hotel is Cornelia-Days Inn, and you don’t have to go far from Adams Pond to see the water at Thin River Orchard Dam.
This lake is so wonderful.
 
   Bassinger Pond is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Adams Pond. Stay the night at Union Grove Campground, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Whitly Gap Trail. During the warm months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Adams Pond. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows throughout the winter for Adams Pond tend  
               to be in the 20's.
The high level of rain makes Adams Pond a rather wet site; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. On a magnificent day at Adams Pond you can take a hike along the Raven Cliff Falls Trail, and get soaked paddling on Chattahoochee River. The Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a magnificent hiking trail in close proximity to Adams Pond, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Cornelia here.
