Beautiful Adams Lake has much to offer visitors. You're almost certainly keen on lakes, Rosedale Pond is one of those close by; if you came to camp Heritage Mobile Home Community is a wonderful place to do that. People from Augusta-Richmond County love to come to Adams Lake. Camping at Fox Hollow Camp Ground is always a splendid experience; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn & Suites.

| | interesting things to see, and after a long day outdoors Wingate by Wyndham - Augusta Northeast is a good site to spend a night or two. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Looking for something next to Adams Lake? Wades Lake is nearby, and golf can be played at Forest Hills Golf Club. Adams Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and November on the other hand is the driest.

Savannah River
| There are two open spillway dams between the Hwy 28 (Fury's Ferry) Bridge and I-20: Stevens Creek Dam (at the confluence of Stevens Creek) and the Augusta Canal Diversion Dam (about a mile downstream of Stevens Creek Dam). There are no marked access points immediately on either side of either dam. Georgia Power Co. operates an electric generating facility on the Georgia (south) bank at Stevens Creek. At the Canal, since the canal immediately parallels the river some twenty feet above it, there is no river access whatsoever on the Georgia side. Portage would be recommended along private land on the South Carolina side of both dams.... |
