     Camping is available at Commerce Koa Kampground, and a pretty lake like Reservoir 27 is a glorious place to pop by. For the duration of the summer months here at Adams Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; night lows during the wintertime for Adams Lake tend to be in the 20's. Get soaked paddling on Broad River, and Adams Lake Dam is a striking spot, positively worth checking  
   out. If you need a spot to stay Hampton Inn Commerce is a good choice; paddling on Rice Creek is so much fun.
Adams Lake gets lots of water; March is the wettest month with most rain, and September on the other hand is the driest. If you're going to Adams Lake from Athens-Clarke County, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. You'll locate a beautiful lake called Reservoir 51 near Adams Lake, and Days Inn Commerce is a glorious spot to get some
 
               rest.
Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are really plentiful here at Adams Lake. Furnace Creek is a pleasant local stream, and a splendid location to camp here at Adams Lake is Victoria Bryant State Park.

The shorelines are constant except in times of heavy rainfall and original life of lake was projected to exceed 100 years. Silt accumulation after 20 years was approximately .5 inche. Normal elevation is apporximately 800'. Feeder streams maintain lake levels even during extended periods of insufficient rainfall and at the same time provide spill into the exiting stream bed.
The lake has been pulled down during periods of heavy construction of highways across the feeder streams to allow silt to return to the streams and pass thru thedrain gates.
Buena Vista Dr crosses the lake in two places; one being the main dam and again on the Coe Branch inlet. Original construction of dams accommodated these crossings.
Over the years sport fishing has been excellent with large mouth Bass, Crappie, Brem, Pike And Catfish, however fishing is limited due to private ownership of property including the lake basin.
