Adams Lake is a relatively wet place frequently with a large amount of rainfall; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is September. Summertime highs at Adams Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Adams       Lake temperatures dip to the 20's. Lots of folks from Athens-Clarke County come to Adams Lake; if you come at the right time of year, Broad River offers some delightful whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little visit to Furnace Creek while you're here at Adams Lake; soar down the rapids of Rice Creek in a kayak. Stay the night at Poplar Springs Campgrounds; Scottish Inns Commerce is a tremendous place to get some rest. And if that's not sufficient,                  there's a load more to do in close proximity to Adams Lake. Adams Lake Dam is scenic and it's right next door to Adams Lake.
