If you are in Walker county it's always a good idea to stop by Abney Lake. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Abney Lake. After a long day outdoors Key West Inn La Fayette is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; while you're here, you could go to Arnold Branch. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Summerville here; an out of the ordinary thing to stop at in close proximity to Abney Lake is Abney Lake Dam. Playing golf is lots of fun at
Lafayette Golf Course, and the Bluff Trail offers hiking at its best. A fine close by hotel is Lafayette Days Inn, and as expected, this is a glorious region for folks who like lakes, Barwick Reservoir is a lake nearby.
Abney Lake usually gets much rain; the month with most of the rain is March; the driest month is August.
