There's good hiking along the Ocmulgee River Trail, and you're sure to stumble upon some wonderful people from Macon here. Summertime highs at Abernathy Lake       regularly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Abernathy Lake are in the 30's.
