Yard Pond is a wet site that gets lots of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July while October is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are tremendous; Gator Pond is a lake that's near Yard Pond, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Suwannee Valley Inn is a delightful site to spend a night or two.       Holiday Inn Express CHIEFLAND is a glorious place to get some rest, and Yard Pond is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Otter Springs RV Resort is a great spot to camp nearby. For the duration of the warm months here at Yard Pond, high temperatures mostly reach the 90's with nighttime lows in the 70's.
