A great site for whitewater paddling right next door to Workman Lake is Falling Creek; enjoy a round of golf at Suwannee River Valley Golf Course. Stay the night at Suwannee River State Park, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Live Oak, Fl is a tremendous site to get some rest. Workman Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here; October on the other hand       is the driest. All through the days of summer here at Workman Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 60's while the cold winter nights at Workman Lake are in the 30's. Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park and Campground is a great campground here, and you can run the rapids of Suwannee River.
