A swamp like Alligator Swamp right next door to Wood Lake has lots of interesting things to see, and if you came for an overnight stay State Of Florida Ochlockonee is a good place to camp. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Wood Lake; Apalachicola Trail is a great local trail, and why not camp at Wood Lake Campground since you're here at Wood Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes       Wood Lake a wet place; July is the wettest month with most rain; October is when it's the driest. All through the summertime months at Wood Lake temperatures are frequently in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 70's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 60's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Wood Lake tend to be in the 30's. This is a glorious area for folks who like lakes. Bone Bluff Lake is a lake in the neighborhood; obviously                  Alligator Creek flows through this neighborhood. You're sure to run into some fine folks from Tallahassee here, and don't leave Wood Lake without first checking out Sanborn Cutoff.
