A good site to camp here at Lake Weir is Recreation Plantation Resort; a lake close by is Bowers Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Baptist Lake Trasil, and since you're here and you like golf, you can stop by Lakes of Lady Lake Golf Course. Lake Weir frequently gets a lot of rain; of all the months in a year July is the       one with the most rain while October is commonly the driest month. Taking a little journey to close by Lemon Point is a great idea, and a trip to Eatons Beach is always a nice idea. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Ocala here, and don't leave Lake Weir without first going for a hike along the Prairie Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Lake Weir while overnight lows are typically in the 70's. For the                  period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 60's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Lake Weir tend to be in the 40's.
