Dry warm beds await you at Scottish Inns Live Oak, and a swamp like Coon Bay near Wash Pond has lots of attention-grabbing things to see. At Wash Pond during the long summer days highs are in the 90's while night lows are frequently in the 70's. A glorious spot to camp here at Wash Pond is Suwannee River State Park, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Suwannee River Inn is a magnificent choice. Wash Pond regularly gets much rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is October.
