Why not camp at Florala State Park since you're here at Ward Bay, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Crestview is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. Ward Bay gets a good deal of water; March is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is October. There's pleasant hiking along the Lake Shore Trail; dry warm beds await you at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Crestview, FL. Lakes? Sure, Cypress Pond is close by; let's not forget Bay Branch
which is a stream that you may stumble upon while here.
But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Ward Bay. Alva Davidson Pond is a brilliant lake in the vicinity of Ward Bay, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Tyner Bay is right nearby. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Ward Bay. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and nighttime lows at Ward Bay all through the winter frequently

descend into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. The Conecuh Trail offers hiking at its best, and Passport America is a great local campground.

I think that the Fla. Division Of Forestry should put a stop to people saving sights for days with a small tent before parking their unit on the sight.  People are tuned away that could be utilizing these sights and enjoying our beautiful area.  I realize the division is still collecting the same money for the sight.  But it is agravating to drive through hoping to park your unit and find half or more sights saved with a small tent and no one in them....

... Beach on the Emerald Coast of the Gulf of Mexico.  Sunset King Lake Rv Resort is easy and convenient to get to, and is in a rural setting, away from all the highway noises that you sometimes have to put up with at other campgrounds.

Our resort is on King Lake, which is approximately 580 acres and is well stocked with black bass, crappie, shellcracker, and bream. Large bass catches are a regular happening and the lake has yielded a 17 1/4 pounder. Bream weighing in at 2 pounds and greater, along with 3 pound crappie have been caught on many occasions.

We have large campsites that can accommodate any size RV, from personal campers to the ''Big ''Rigs'', with water, sewer, 30 & 50 Amp electric service, and cable TV. WIFI is also available ($).
You can relax in our quiet atmosphere or spend time with friendly neighbors and have the companionship of fellow RVers. Come to the clubhouse for a bite to eat, play some games, work on crafts, read a book, or just look out over the beautiful lake and surrounding countryside.

There are many planned activities to keep ...
