Lake Virginia sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while October is commonly the driest month. For the period of the summer months at Lake Virginia highs are mostly in the 90's while overnight lows are regularly in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 60's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Lake Virginia       plunge into the 40's. Quality Inn And Suites Riverfront is a wonderful place to get some rest; a lake close by is Boll Green Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Lake Virginia is Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park, and if you're visiting from Palatka, you won't be the only one.
