You'll need more than a day to discover everything Violet Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Oklawaha RV Resort, and if you're visiting from Palatka, you won't be the only one. Violet Lake gets much water; all through August this area sees the most rain; the driest month is October. Through the summer highs here at Violet Lake reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's.       Throughout the winter the highs are frequently in the 60's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Violet Lake temperatures drop to the 40's. After a long day outdoors Florida General Baptist Cnvntn is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and if you get bored of Violet Lake you could also stop by nearby Boll Green Lake.
