Sure, Buck Lake is just a very short distance away. High temperatures at Summit Pond during the       warm months are in the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 70's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's with winter lows in the 40's overnight here at Summit Pond. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Ocala National Recreation Trail; after a long day outdoors Ecom Lodge is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Summit Pond is a reasonably wet place typically with much rainfall; all through the month of July                  you get the most rain around here while November is typically the driest month.
