If you need a location to stay Fox Den Country Inn is a perfect choice, and the Ocala National Recreation Trail is a fine hiking trail close by. A delightful place to camp here at Summit Pond is Wild woods Resort, and do stop at Buck Lake, it's a pretty lake. If the weather is good here at Summit Pond, you can go for a hike along the Baptist Lake Trasil, and going for a hike along the Flatwoods Trail will let you       absorb the natural beauty of this region. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Summit Pond get into the 90's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 70's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 60's with temperatures at Summit Pond dipping down into the 40's through winter nights. Summit Pond in fact is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Riverview North is a good site to spend a                  night or two; Summit Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Alexander Springs Recreation is a glorious local campground.
