Why not camp at Original Suwannee River Camp while you're here at Station Lake, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express CHIEFLAND is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. Station Lake gets lots of water; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is October. Throughout the warm months at Station Lake highs are generally in the 90's. Summer night lows fall down to the 70's.

| | Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 60's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Station Lake sink into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Suwannee Valley Inn, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby California Lake. Yellow Jacket RV Campground is a pleasant local campground, and not far from Station Lake you'll find Thompson Lake which is a wonderful lake. | |

Otter Springs RV Resort

We are only two miles from the Nature Coast State Trail that runs from Trenton west to Fanning Springs, then north to Cross City or south to Chiefland. There are two natural springs on the property and a mile long spring run. Enjoy fishing along the spring run and the Suwannee River or launch your own boat from the adjacent county boat ramp. Swimming in the springs is a cool 72 degrees year round; if that’s a bit cool for your taste we also have an indoor heated pool. The campground has 100 full hook-up sites for RVs and about 30 sites for tents. The sites are grassy and shady. We also have 5 rental units with fully equipped kitchens and baths 3 small cabins with beds for 4 people; a 3 bedroom mobile home with beds for 6; and a 3 bedroom stilt house with beds for 8. Pets are welcome in the campground. We have two bath houses with laundry facilities behind each one. In addition to hiking, biking, swimming and fishing we also have shuffleboard, horseshoes, washer toss, ladder golf, croquet and volleyball. We are open year round; we accept cash and checks... |
