Beautiful Southwater has much to offer visitors. Through the long summer days at Southwater highs are frequently in the 90's with overnight lows in the 70's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 70's; winter nights come with lows in the 50's to Southwater. Cannon Bay is near Southwater and is a splendid location to explore. Southwater is a wet site that gets a good deal of rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year

This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Southwater you can take a hike along the Bluebird Trail; after a long day outdoors Port of the Islands Resort and Marina is a perfect location to spend a night or two. If you came to camp Glades Haven is a great place to do that, and swamps like Alligator Creek in the neighborhood of Southwater make for glorious locations to visit. for a while, Big Cypress Campgrounds is a wonderful site for that, and going for a hike along the Lostmans Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
