There are swamps here too; Alligator Creek is nearby; dry warm beds await you at Port of the Islands Resort and Marina. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Southwater; Lostmans Trail is a good local trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Southwater has to offer, you can camp at Big Cypress Campgrounds. Southwater is a quite wet place mostly with a great deal of rain; June is the month that gets the most       rain; April is the month with the least moisture. There's so much to do here at Southwater that you need to camp here for a while, Glades Haven is a perfect location for that. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Southwater, and the night is quite chillier of course, regularly in the 70's. All through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 70's with temperatures at Southwater dipping down into the 50's throughout winter nights.
