Smokehouse Pond is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Hudson Hollow RV Park is a glorious place to camp nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Port Richey. Stay the night at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park, and if you need a location to stay Port Richey Travelodge is a great choice. Stake Creek Point is close by and always perfect to go       to, and Cow Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out. The summit of Buzzards Roost can be made out from Smokehouse Pond, and a golf course nearby is Beacon Woods Golf Club. During the months of summer highs here at Smokehouse Pond get into the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 70's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 60's while Smokehouse Pond night low temperatures through the                  winter are in the 40's. If only every spot had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great world it would be.
