Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Falling Creek, and lots of folks from Lake City come here. Summertime at Sistrunk Pond comes with high temperatures in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime       are normally in the 60's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Sistrunk Pond temperatures dip to the 30's. If you come at the right time of year, Suwannee River offers some great whitewater, obviously you could also pop by Johnson Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Econo Lodge Live Oak is a great choice, and Sistrunk Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Lee's Country                  Campground is a fine local campground. Sistrunk Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; August is when you get the most rain here while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Sistrunk Pond.
