Simpson Lake is a relatively wet place commonly with a good deal of precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. During the summer months at Simpson Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, frequently in the 70's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 60's,       and nighttime lows at Simpson Lake during the wintertime usually dip into the 30's. Soar down the rapids of Aucilla River in a kayak; at Simpson Lake you can spot Texas Hill. Camping at Tallahassee E/Monticello KOA is always a tremendous experience; people from Thomasville love to come here. Monticello Days Inn is a good site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful place to camp here at Simpson Lake is Monticello Koa Kampground; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Monticello.     Monticello Days Inn, Lamont 6 miles away 5 miles to downtown and historic business district.
