Any time is a pleasant time at Lake Simmons if you go for the outdoors. Kings Kamp Marina is a great local campground; a trip to close by Cove Point is very relaxing. This lake is so wonderful. Do pay a visit to Everglades National Park since you're here at Lake Simmons; getting to North Sound       Creek from Lake Simmons is simple. Swamps don’t sound that great but Jewfish Creek right next door to Lake Simmons is quite great, of course you could also stop at Crocodile Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. For the period of the warm months at Lake Simmons highs are generally in the 90's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 70's, and winter nights come with lows in the 50's to Lake Simmons.                  Lake Simmons is a wet site that gets lots of precipitation; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is December.
